I’m listening to Grammy nominations on Tidal and looking at credits. How cool is that ? But where is the “mixer” credit?

More Grammy listening. Interesting that that music with the most bottom end I.e low frequencies is NOT the EDM category!

Avid Protools new update. TONS of fixes and updates. But they forgot to mention in the release notes - requires Mojave OS or later. Good thing I checked compatibility chart first. (I’m still on High Sierra).

STEMS! A mono track of audio is not a “Stem” (well I can be be... but..) it’s just an exported file. “Stems” are meant to be sub mixed groups of instruments.

What did I learn today? If you want to stream HiDef losseless audio from Apple you need to be on Mac OS 10.14 (Catalina) or newer.

Grammys The 6 week entry period for round 1 of the Grammy award process ends August 31.I just spent a good part of two days making submitals (and that was just for one artist, and I’m not finished with her yet) Some of the new rules for Grammy submittal don’t seem very democratic

Grammys part II - I understand the need to whittle down the overwhelming volume of submissions (there were more than 22,000 last year) yet shortening the entry period and making people pay as much as $125 per entry does not seem right.
