Sacramento proud. Here for basketball content: NBA draft, fantasy, and other randomness. Puns are good too.

Sacramento Kings - 5 Out Offense - “Fist Side Zoom 45” The Kings utilize 45 cuts as another way to put pressure on the rim through the cutter, driving space and remove stunts / defenders for shooters to run into space.

Kings elbow action and some of the unlimited options we've seen out of it so far - the 3 guys on the weak side typically run some form of staggers/twirls/bilbao action, but it's just read & react basketball and the options are limitless.

I'm a little annoyed with how often the FO moves off 2nd rounders, but if they're bringing in rotation players in trade or UDFA, I can't complain too much.

Feels like the Kings will need to either take care of the ball better or start hitting more 3s if they want to be great offensively. Can't consistently outscore teams if you're trying to outpace their 3s with midrange 2s and you have the same amount of possessions.

DeAaron Fox being at the top of this graph matches the eye test. He's been playing off ball more, but when he does get it, he's making plays for others consistently.

Kings giving up multiple corner 3s and dunks against their zone. Got to get the activity up on rotations or work harder to prevent the Hawks from getting middle.

It's really evident when they have the big extend high to prevent the drive. Once the ball gets in the middle, it's always 4 v 3 from the most dangerous part of the court.

Like the defensive adjustment out of half time where Sabonis is at the level of the screen. The short roll was doing a lot of damage earlier.

Kings look like a team that flew in on the back to back. Looks like they're comfortable with the pace, but Raptors D has done a good job making them uncomfortable. They don't seem as focused tonight as they were last night against the Hawks.

Kings should be happy they're only down 3. Biggest thing for me is taking care of the ball 2nd half. They can score consistently on the raptors if they take care of the ball.

Feel like this has been the Kings biggest problem this year. A lot of drives given up that led to spray 3s or oops. (Unfortunately I don't think Keon fixes this problem. His forte seems to be off ball causing havoc, he's not the best at staying in front of guys off the dribble).

A win is a win. Not a clean win, but a good bounce back after that Toronto loss. Kings definitely need more time to gel and figure out rotations, but the pieces are there.

I know it's not effecting his inside scoring, but I'm really wondering if the finger injury is causing problems for Fox's handle. Seems like he's losing the ball more than normal and that was a problem in the playoffs against GS when he was also dealing with a hand injury
