When using FieldView Canada’s Field Health Imagery to decide which parts of a field to scout, it’s important to check the (green) areas with high biomass and not just the low areas (red). Extra biomass could be due to weeds: in this case, volunteer alfalfa!

Ever since scratching my cornea a couple summers ago these are my go to when walking corn fields this time of year. I’d advise it as well cause it’s one of the worst feelings there is. 🌽🌽🌽

I’m excited to try something new on our farm! We put some Crop Science Canada fungicide strips onto our corn at silking. Looking forward to seeing how the imagery changes over the coming weeks, and of course to get the yield maps on FieldView Canada this fall! #FungicidesForTheWin

Good tip. I go a step further and put coloured tape on my paired Drive and iPads. Red Drive goes with the red iPad, blue with blue, and so on.

Here is one of our corn silage fields. It’s hard to see from the road, but FieldView Canada shows that these 2 hybrids are drying down at different rates. Choosing where to pick representative sample plants for a burn down test is easier than ever!

Just got a Case 2188 combine set up with a FarmTRX yield monitor and a FieldView Canada Drive. Delivery was very quick and setup was 4 hours at a leisurely pace. Looking forward to starting harvest so we can get everything calibrated and get some yield maps for trials!

Check out Cody Giess' install of the FarmTRX Yield Monitor on a Massey Ferguson 860 - a combine chosen by him to test out the retrofit ability of the monitor, including running FieldView from the cab.

I’m starting to see differences in the trials on our farm. There is noticeably more white mold in the high population soybean blocks. Can’t wait to get the yield maps into FieldView
