Always interesting to return to social media after taking a break for sometime. Don’t miss the belligerence and virtue signaling.

The “Golden Gate Greenway” has the potential to be a world-class community space in the Tenderloin, and it has overwhelming support from the community. Unfortunately, SFFD has been blocking the project for 6+ months. Please help by demanding action today🧵CommunitySpacesSF.com/golden-gate-gr…

A Tenderloin nonprofit is planning to use $200k in city funding to begin building the "Golden Gate Greenway," permanently closing a block of Golden Gate Ave. to regular traffic. The space is envisioned as a “green oasis” of parklets and event spaces. sfstandard.com/arts-culture/p…

Thanks San Francisco Police. The open-air drug market is out of hand at night! Most residents are afraid to leave their homes at night and suffering because of it. Rethinking how to use streets, like the Golden Gate Greenway, is what the SFMTA Active Communities Plan is all about. How do we stitch these together across the city, creating a vibrant network for all types of moving around? x.com/fauvescraper/s…

State leaders have failed to offer a concrete plan for transit funding. Bay Area agencies will be forced to reduce service levels. The result: mass congestion, a new barrier to economic recovery, and huge set back for climate goals. JOIN US SATURDAY TO DEMAND BETTER!

If Muni runs out of money, we can't make payroll. Cities cannot borrow to keep govt running. Our workers got SF through the worst of COVID, and I've promised them I won't balance our budget through layoffs. slate.com/business/2023/…

BIG TRANSIT FUNDING UPDATE Last night, the Senate & Assembly released our budget, including most of the agreement on transit. We vote on Thursday. The agreement is a strong step to address the transit operations fiscal cliff. More work remains, but this is good progress.🧵⬇️

As a reminder, post-pandemic transit ridership & fare revenue are recovering but not quickly enough to make up for the phase-out of federal emergency COVID transit relief. In the next 12-24 months — w/o financial support — various transit systems will go over the “fiscal cliff.”

He's only six, but he's learning about the issues, how to make a case for change, and why it matters to speak up. On his fourth campaign now, he's given comment at the SFMTA, handed out flyers, and shown up for public speaking. Proud of my son. <3 kqed.org/news/11958918/…

Tenderloin has seen a significant reduction in near misses in crosswalks since piloting NTOR’s throughout the neighborhood. Of course it doesn’t prevent all reckless turns. Thank you!! SFMTA Vision Zero SF Jamie Parks Matt Haney
