I was excited to co-sponsor this important ordinance change initiated by Councilmember Harrison. And I’m so thankful to the many residents and individuals who came forward to share their personal stories to reinforce how impactful and necessary this reform is for our community.

In 2020 I ran for #a2council because I saw a dysfunctional Council that was systematically standing in the way of progressive policy. We’ve made so much progress in the last 2.5 years. (1 of 3)

We’ve substantially increased funding for nonmotorized transportation and climate action, enacted major land use and criminal legal reforms, increased support for social service providers, hired a highly capable Administrator, +++(2 of 3)

Packed house tonight. Around 150 present to oppose MDOT Rail’s proposal to fence off the railroad to ostensibly improve pedestrian safety, with zero investments to improve pedestrian access under/over railroad and no accommodations for wildlife. No thanks MDOT.
