Ever wondered why a solid brick house needs less energy than expected?
One reason is that CIBSE guidance is over- estimating the conductivity of your walls by 60%.

What methods should we use to understand household heating patterns?
How about mixed data from sensors, smart meters, and survey answers.

Consider comparing monitored temp and smart meter gas. Or CO2 and electricity data.

What questions should we ask to understand the data?

More experiments on estimating rates of air change in dwellings.

Moving on from candles, it seems that small 16 g canisters of CO2 (used for inflating bike tyres) can also be used.

It's not as quixotic as using candles as a CO2 source, but it does seem more practical.
