We are heartbroken today after losing two students in the devastating plane crash in Tehran. Our thoughts and condolences are with their families and school communities as we all mourn their loss. Support services teams are working with students and staff at the impacted schools.

Extremely saddened to hear of the passing of ECSD Superintendent Joan Carr. She was a devoted educator and a respected colleague. Our deepest condolences to her family and colleagues from EPSB

The Alberta Government has cancelled all classes indefinitely across the province. #EPSB schools are closed to students starting Monday, March 16. Staff will still attend work. We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

Our staff have been working hard to prepare for what’s ahead. Here’s my update on how we’re transitioning to digital learning. I hope you have a restful spring break!

I am proud of our students, staff and families for rising to this challenge. We all miss being together, but I have heard many stories of the meaningful connections that are being made. These connections are vital and I know they will help get us through this difficult time.
