One of my “self rules” I read daily is to not impress any man or care what anybody thinks. Only live to make Jesus proud, and everything else will turn out as it should.

Life is a game about getting off busses that no longer serve you. You can do things for a season… hell even a decade of seasons. But at some point, you grow and move forward. Stagnation is a slow death. New busses and new adventures await for all of us.

Today’s my last day of work before the Thanksgiving holiday. 6 days of family swinging in & out of the house. Constant sampling of pumpkin, pecan, and sugar cream pie. Smoking a turkey on my pellet smoker. Nightcaps of fine scotch. Football galore. I ❤️ this time of year!

They should, yes, but are they willing to sacrifice immediate pleasures for the long term gains? I know many people who work 40 hours but can’t afford what they feel entitled to because they drop $500 a month on sneakers or $1,000 a month in bar tabs.

I don’t know a single family member or friend Black Friday shopping today. Online shopping, sure. But the “let’s go out and shop” experience around Thanksgiving is over. And it’s for the best.

2026 is the year we should all get right with Jesus. Feels like strange times with AI, looming war, political gamesmanship, and social media illusions. I’m not saying the sky is falling. I’m saying dark times bubble up gradually then boil over suddenly. Don’t wait.
