At Microsoft I used to work long hours, weekends, even Christmases, because I enjoyed it and it was my choice. But if I got an email from Bill Gates telling me to work harder or else, I'd quit immediately. It's disrespectful and degrading.

this is clearly FUD - Haskell is doing great The drop in participants from 1152 to 1038 is 114 people. There are 96 fewer folks answering from Twitter alone. Gee, I wonder why Twitter wasn't as effective for distributing the survey?

The military regime has normalised a terrible state of affairs. Kavuma Jamushid was abducted by armed men on 5th Nov. 17 days now, no one knows where he is, and if he is alive. His family has gone through hell looking for him. Our legal team has checked everywhere! WHERE IS HE?

Dmitrii Kovanikov In my team we tend to explicitly opt for what we call "baby haskell" to avoid being trapped by "using all the features". Its okay to NOT put everything into compile time guarantees, despite the fact its "possible" to do so.

One thing I’ve learned today from many of the responses to the derogatory terms used to refer to Northerners is that they are so focused on their intentions, not the reception. The thing is if you find me, an Alur, with a Karamojong, and you call us omulugwara, you’ll offend us.

GHC 9.4 takes 9 minutes to compile our codebase GHC 9.6 takes 3 minutes, with `-fprefer-byte-code` and `-fbyte-code-and-object-code` absolutely incredible work
