Damien Chazelle hasn’t given us a new film in three years. Some have suggested that he’s in “director jail” since releasing Babylon. I can’t imagine that’s true because I don’t think Chazelle’s ever directed a bad film. He deserves creative freedom- he’s earned it at this point.
