In the context of our #PolarMonitor project we create a digital elevation model and high-resolution Ture Orthophoto Mosaics of the Great #Aletsch #Glacier. Measuring the necessary control points at the #Jungfraujoch is quite challenging thanks to windy conditions.

#Snow Extent 2023 in #SierraNevada, #California, since DOY 90 compared to long-term mean and minimum/maximum since 2000. Derived from #MODIS and #DLR #GlobalSnowPack. Extent is even higher than in 2006.
