Today we had our first Taylor Talk of the year! I joined grade 1 classes at Lambton Kent DSB and @SCCDSB to talk about the important environmental lessons we learned from Dr. Seuss' "The Lorax". @SEPSciCen
In October, I did a waste audit at Rosedale Public School with the Grade 7 classes. We sorted through the previous day's garbage to see what should have been recycled instead. Very eye opening for the students! The biggest culprit was juice boxes - these can be recycled! Lambton Kent DSB
Today's "Taylor Talk" taught the grade 2 classes at Lambton Kent DSB and @SCCDSB why plants, animals, and insects are so important, and what we can do to protect their environment and keep them healthy. We had some great questions from our young scientists! The future is bright! @SEPSciCen
This morning, Kindergarten classes from Lambton Kent DSB and @SCCDSB will be learning about all the ways we can save the world in our everyday lives. Every action matters, and it's up to all of us to do our part to protect our planet. @SEPSciCen

For Earth Day, I joined students from BDHS in collecting 20 bags of litter from around the community. My co-op student Drew organized the event, and I’m so proud! Way to go, Blenheim Bobcats!! Lambton Kent DSB

This week’s Taylor Talk was all about food waste and composting. Our grade 4 students will be making ziploc bag composters to watch their food waste break down into fertilizer. There were a lot of great questions from our curious scientists! @SEPSciCen @SCCDSB LKDSB Elem Program
