I was delighted to pay a routine supervisory visit to a newly completed Type-2 Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) at Otukwu, Emene, one of the 260 such facilities we are rolling out across every ward in our state.

When we assumed office, we immediately recognised the need for urgent intervention, particularly in the primary healthcare subsector. Our people, especially women, deserve access to quality healthcare at any time of the day or night.

That is why these PHCs are equipped with staff quarters and renewable energy, ensuring round-the-clock service delivery and uninterrupted care. This is part of a broader transformation happening across our healthcare system.

Beyond primary healthcare, we are revamping 22 Cottage and General Hospitals while also building a world-class Enugu International Hospital that will attract top-notch medical practitioners that will deliver world-class medical services.

Our goal remains to redefine healthcare delivery in Enugu State by providing quality healthcare that must be accessible to all, regardless of location or status. We have only just begun. Tomorrow is Here!
