Well, disinformation about RFK stadium goes straight from Musk to Michael Barbaro’s mouth today, so… it works. 🤷‍♂️

Clear roads for a bike commute! (But the few drivers up to the usual shenanigans, e.g., reversing on a one-way road…)

The new flexposts on N Barton at Wilson didn’t stop a jerk driver from cutting me off this morning—tho she did have to make a boxier turn to do so. (Arguably, without the posts she would have cut the turn and I wouldn’t have had to brake urgently.)

Clarendon, 9:40pm: one Arlington Department of Environmental Services vehicle and one ArlingtonCountyPD vehicle standing in BikeArlington lane—next to empty curbside parking spots. 🙄

Found out the hard way at 8am on a Sunday that Arlington Department of Environmental Services didn’t shovel the Arlington County Blvd trail from Fairfax Dr westbound. Thanks… for nuthin. cc BikeArlington

Thx to 4-man Arlington Department of Environmental Services crew for FINALLY clearing the ice sheet on the pedestrian refuge between Wilson & Clarendon @ N Veitch in Courthouse neighborhood.

I don't live in AdMo so I can't say either way, but it does seem very early in the project's life to judge whether it will be effective — and what effective means. Change is a fact of life, and people eventually adapt. I'm curious how opinions will change by later this summer.

What the actual f, VDOT Northern VA Arlington Department of Environmental Services?! I can’t even remember how long ago it snowed (3 wks?) and you can’t even clear the BikeArlington path at 50/Fairfax Dr & N Barton???! As you can see from the tracks, I’m not the only bike rider / walker to brave the ice.
