Excited to share my 1st co-authored paper with Sungmin Nam published in Anandan Natesan, demonstrating cancer cells utilize protrusive extracellular force generation during mitosis, and not protease degradation or spreading, to drive mitotic elongation in collagen-rich matrix.

Researchers show cancer cells generate pushing forces to create space during mitosis in confining collagen gels the Chaudhuri lab Yung-Hao, Lin Sungmin Nam Check out the #openaccess article: ow.ly/rAN450D3fUM

Crucial decision from Stanford leadership: news.stanford.edu/today/2021/01/…. In fall 2020, many universities saw high COVID cases during first 2-3 weeks which was quickly lowered through strong test-trace-isolate policies. But US-wide situation is much worse now! More data in our paper👇

📖 Check out our latest work in Science Advances titled “The nuclear piston activates mechanosensitive ion channels to generate cell migration paths in confining microenvironments” led by Hong-Pyo Lee in collaboration with ShenoyLab from Penn Bioengineering! advances.sciencemag.org/content/7/2/ea…

Out today! Perspective on 3D cultures to model the tumor immune microenvironment. My first paper as a PI and a fun collab w/ the Chaudhuri lab. 🎉 Includes a crash course in cancer immuno, an intro to drug discovery, and future 3D culture ideas. aip.scitation.org/doi/10.1063/5.…

🦴Excited to share that Hong-Pyo’s collaboration with the Bhutani and Goodman labs is out in Nature Biomedical Engineering! rdcu.be/cgBoo

~5 years of my 1st author PhD work on cell migration on viscoelastic substrates is out in Nature Materials. Thanks to our team including David Odde,Jay Hou,ShenoyLab,@ZeGongGreg. Check it out: rdcu.be/ciYgZ. Please cite. #viscoelasticity #cellmigration #filopodia

🗣Check out our lab’s virtual posters and talk at #BMES2021! Dhiraj Indana, Frank Charbonier, & Yung-Hao, Lin are very excited to discuss their work! Biomedical Engineering Society

Is it just me, or is this lab tape dispenser the worst design ever? What am I missing? Tina Termini

📢 Incredibly excited to share the peer-reviewed version of our lumenogenesis work. We developed a human epiblast model and discovered a new mechanism of lumen expansion that is driven by actin! Cell Stem Cell the Chaudhuri lab 🧵 [1/17] doi.org/10.1016/j.stem…

Does anyone have Acinetobacter phages? A kid in Belgium needs them... Please share & contact me or Phage Directory if you can help!

Despite the current uncertainty of being a scientist, I am excited to share our (the Chaudhuri lab) manuscript demonstrating an interesting mechanism of how swirling motion of breast cancer cells align collagen fibers radially at the tumor-stroma interface to enable their invasion
