1/2 I found your article John Bird in Big Issue 1633 really interesting & I agree. But I can’t agree with you about the winter fuel payment. Yes, raise the threshold for pension credit or sth else but don’t pay those of us who can afford our fuel.

2/2 It will create useful admin jobs for ppl to do the means testing and, also, make all of us pensioners think about consuming less unnecessary fuel. In contrast, I think the bus pass is an absolute necessity for all us seniors.
