Today YAPAD joined Mandera County Government, Department of Conflict Management, Cohesion and Integration and other Peace Actors in celebrating the INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY. The Theme this year is END RACISM. BUILD PEACE. #InternationalPeaceDay_2022

The handover ceremony for the newly constructed community pit latrines at Arra’ad IDP Camp, Dollo Ado-Ethiopia was successful. The project was funded by Danish Refugee Council through Diaspora Aid and implemented by YAPAD in partnership with Somali Diaspora Aid NGO.

In partnership with Community Soccer Organization and through the support from Ministry of Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports we undertook football tournament in Mandera County with aim of nurturing talents, Drug abuse awareness and social cohesion.

YAPAD in partnership with Ministry of Info, Comms & The Digital Economy KE and Mandera County Government undertook youth digital training dubbed AJIRA. Today’s all Women Inter-Clan Dialogue Forum in Rhamu aimed at enhancing gender inclusion in peace-building efforts, recognizing that women are disproportionately affected by clan violence and their contribution to peace efforts is often limited.
