Children and families are seeing utter destruction and infrastructural collapse as they check in on their homes in north Gaza. Multiple UNICEF trucks carrying essential supplies have already entered the area. The ceasefire must be upheld and access must be maintained.

In 2025, over 213M children in 146 countries and territories will be in need of humanitarian aid because of conflicts and crises. As needs continue to grow, the private sector can play a key role in strengthening the humanitarian system through expertise and funds. #WEF25

At Karem Abu Salem crossing, I met with UNOPS 2720 Mechanism team, working tirelessly to get aid into #Gaza. This system is crucial for ensuring humanitarian supplies reach those who need them most, bringing greater speed, transparency, and coordination to the response.

Despite significant progress over the last two decades, 4.8 million children under the age of five lost their lives in 2023. Most of these deaths occurred due to diseases and conditions that can be easily prevented and treated.
