#GameMaker #GameDev #RadianceCascades okay super cool update. I managed to improve angular diffusion in ray-extensions to produce a cleaner per-pixel output. I just need to fix edges.... Left is new method. Right is old method.

Did a really fun #GameDev color palette study with #HollowKnight to get that grungy aesthetic while adding some nice highlights (for GI purposes). This is a 48 color palette based off of this color tier chart from reddit "Colors of Hallownest."

#GameMaker #GameDev #ScreenshotSaturday I am getting ever closer to path-traced quality. Left: Current Implementation (per git repo). Right: Interpolated ray extensions (uses -1 ray per probe and uses interpolation to make up for that). Damn edges are killing my output fluence.
