I am horrified by the vile attack on a synagogue in Manchester, especially on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar. I stand with Manchester’s Jewish community, and with Jewish communities across the country, including here in Southampton.

Today, we must keep Britain’s Jewish community in our hearts. We must stand with Manchester as it faces terror on its streets once again. Why and how this happened will be answered in time, for now our duty is to unite & rally behind the victims of this horrific attack.

We must remember the victims of October 7th, support the families of hostages, and stand united against antisemitism here in Rugby and across the UK. A two-state solution remains the path to lasting peace in the Middle East.
