I’ve had the new ios26 update for a few days now and I can confidently say I hate this new Liquid Glass feature. Everything seems so bright and app icons seem so blurry 😭

I’ve seen this “fact” floating around and although it has been an unusual hurricane season this year, this statement is false. 2023 also recorded NO hurricane landfalls in the month of September.

It's rare that a disturbance in the Gulf added to the Tropical Weather Outlook is a good thing, but this morning it reinforces that the chance of development from low pressure over the Gulf is nearly 0%. Those headed to the beach will still want to be alert for rip currents!

On Wed-Thurs, we'll see 10-15 mph ne/e winds (slightly higher than the past few days). With fuels remaining dry, use caution with any outdoor burning and obey any burn bans for your location.

Interesting stat for this year's hurricane season. Arizona and New Mexico have been in the NHC cone twice as many days as Florida. They have been 6 days each. Florida for 3. And crickets for most the Gulf. spaghettimodels.com

The amount of times I’ve been watching a college sports broadcast and I’ve heard Humble, Texas be pronounced incorrectly 🙃 (The H is silent if anyone is curious)

MELISSA: Very tricky and uncertain forecast. First image is the hand drawn scenarios the way it seems. Second image is every computer model we have that ran today. The short is a slower developing storm is more likely to take track A (or something close to it) and a faster
