This week in workshops we’ve been keeping on-top of the various defects that have come in across the county and have also given our spare appliances an interim service! 🚨🛠🚒

It’s been a busy week for us down in the workshops dealing with various defects and carrying out services on different vehicles and equipment. We’ve also undergone breathing apparatus cylinder testing to ensure our cylinders are in good condition for frontline use. 🚒🚨🛠

For this #ThrowbackThursday we have a 1983 Bedford TK, new to Bodmin Community Fire Station in 1983 it served until the late 1990s where it then served a short while with Newquay Community Fire Station before moving onto @TrainingCFRS and then finally being disposed off in the 2000s.

Last week we handed back St Austell Community Fire Station their first away after some cosmetic repair and new brakes fitted all round. Now back on the run as normal. 🚒🛠🚨

For this #ThrowbackThursday we have a 1990 Dodge G13 that served out of Delabole Community Fire Station until 2003 where it then became a spare appliance before a short stint with Phoenix Services at Falmouth Community Fire Station until its eventual disposal in 2007. This week two of our technicians have undergone operator training for our 'Aerial Ladder Platforms' over at Newquay Community Fire Station. This enables us to operate the appliance should it ever be required of us to do so. They definitely caught some incredible views! 🚒🚨🛠️

For this week's #ThrowbackThursday we have a 1989 Dodge G17 'Water Carrier' that started life out with Truro Community Fire Station before relocating to Camborne fire station (Tolvaddon Community Fire Station) until its replacement and disposal in 2003. Picture credits to Tim Ansell.

Earlier this month we handed Tolvaddon Community Fire Station their first away back after major work had taken place. Pump refurbished and a full service carried out, it’s now back on the run! 🚒🚨🛠

Over the last month we’ve been extremely busy keeping on top of defects. We’ve also got St Mawes Community Fire Station’ first away in for gearbox repair and St Austell Community Fire Station’ operational support in for a head gasket repair. 🚒🚨🛠

We’ve been keeping busy over the last few weeks carrying out defect repairs and servicing. Here’s a little something we did the other week to one of our officer vehicles to allow for improved visibility when on the road. 🚒🛠🚨

Over the last few months we’ve been keeping on top of servicing and repairing various defects. This week we’ve had Newquay Community Fire Station’ ALP in for some LED upgrades on the cage lighting to assist in future incidents! 🚒🛠🚨

Throughout this cold season our technicians remain on-call to maintain round the clock cover to keep Cornwall’s fire appliances ‘on the run’. Please remember to take extra care when driving out on the roads during this cold weather. 🚨🛠🚒
