We enjoyed an amazing day at the Kern County Fair today with 100 second graders, their teachers, parents, aides, and SSD bus drivers. MOT saved the day to help us move lunches into the fair. I learned you may ask any food vendor for water and they will give you some.

October 23-31 are all dress up days for those who want to participate. October 23-27 are parent/teacher conferences and we get out at 12:00. EXPLORE hours are 12-3 October 23-27. Monday, October 23 is NOT a late start.

Wingland Wildcat Flag Football and Volleyball teams had great days today. Thank you to all staff who showed up including Mrs. Elam and Mr. Gilmore.

Last week all staff and students enjoyed the comedy of Marc Griffiths. We will definitely have him back!!

Wingland had a wonderful family paint night where we made art on canvas. Smiles were everywhere as families painted together. Thank you to Jennifer Castaneda-Garcia for organizing the event, Donita Marchel for guiding us through the activity, and to many other staff who helped.

So grateful to have an amazing Wingland cafeteria that serves up nutritious and delicious food. Today's lunch was posole with sliced radishes, onions, cilantro, cabbage, and a lime wedge. Everything was fresh and top-notch quality. Thank you to our food-service workers!!
