#HealthyNYC served as our North Star to equitably raise New Yorkers’ life expectancy to its highest level of 83 years. Today, the city has reached its goal of raising the life expectancy of New Yorkers to its highest-ever level of 83.2 years. This is an enormous victory.

Thousands of supportive housing units in the city are at risk of defunding due to a HUD policy shift that will move money from permanent housing to short-term services and transitional units with new requirements for residents. My latest Crain's New York crainsnewyork.com/health-pulse/s…

“We owe it to New Yorkers to make sure that these numbers continue to trend upward, or at the very least that we don’t backslide in coming years because of the very concerning public health decisions that are coming from the federal government.” -Dr. Michelle Morse

I talked to Céline Gounder, MD, ScM, FIDSA 🇺🇦 about the new CDC “vaccines might not cause autism (but Secretary Kennedy wants you to think they do)” guidance. Vaccines don’t cause autism. This false claim will be used as a pretext to block access to as many vaccines as possible. kffhealthnews.org/news/article/c…

On NY1, Dr. Michelle Morse responded to reckless claims from the CDC this week suggesting there may be a connection between vaccines and autism. New Yorkers should continue to turn to the people they can trust for answers to questions about vaccines: their doctors and nurses.
