This rather smart Blue-bordered Carpet turned up in the #WildaboutWarnham garden last night. Instead of using my moth trap I tried the combination of a 125MV bulb and a white sheet which attracted a good range of species that were easy to pot up for identification!

More pug uncertainty... UK Moth Identification Sussex Moth Group is this a Grey Pug? Among other moths last night in the #WildaboutWarnham garden were, I think, Marbled White Spot, Mottled Beauty & perhaps Clepsis consimilana (Privet Twist) but v. happy to be put right on any of these, thanks!

It sometimes seems like this kind of stupidity will never end...

Hopefully #WildAboutWarnham 's Emperors will be out soon too in the Warnham Butterfly Fields, as we are only 'up the road' from #Knepp !

So important to survey and record Swift nests. "If we don't know where they are we can't protect them". Why not pop out around 8.45pm walk your street and if you see it log a Swift nest.
