We are very happy to announce that our #SFB1149 will be funded by the DFG public | @[email protected] for another 4 years! During that time, we will conduct high-level trauma research focusing on the patient during their whole life: from birth to death.#traumaresearch

Our latest paper is online SFB-Trauma Universität Ulm @BiologyUlm cell.com/cell-reports/f…

The 12th European Zebrafish Meeting will be held in beautiful Krakow, Poland between 9th-13th July 2023 in Uniwersytet Jagielloński. Great line up of speakers planned! More info and registration soon👉zebrafish2023.org/index.html #EZM2023

In SFB Trauma 1149, I was very excited to share my story on immune cell responses upon acute alcohol intoxication by using zebrafish as a model. Thanks to SFB-Trauma for my first start-up funding and making this possible along with Weidinger Lab and Prof. Dr. Borna Relja.

Thanks a lot to the Weidinger Lab for inviting me to give the keynote lecture at the IGradU's Fall Meeting at the Universität Ulm last week. As always it was a great pleasure to visit Ulm and to interact with a number of excellent scientists and great people.

Attention all Trainees: We are excited to host our first Career Catalyst Mentorship Program Panel on 'Identifying & Delivering Your Research Vision' on February 21st (5pm CET, 11am EST, 8am PST, 12 am CST) with Elly Tanaka @asimonstockholm Lindsay Lafave and Gilbert Weidinger.

Looking forward to our first Career Catalyst Mentorship Panel Discussion tomorrow on 'Identifying Your Research Vision' at 5pm CET with Elly Tanaka, Sumru Bayin, Mekayla Storer, @asimonstockholm, Lindsay LaFave, Gilbert Weidinger, Çağrı Çevrim

morphoHeart is live! Juliana Sánchez-Posada developed software for 3D visualisation and morphometric analysis of the heart including negative space segmentation of cardiac ECM volume. All packaged up into a handy GUI. #morphometrics #zebrafish

New work from Gabriele D'Uva & Weidinger Lab

Thrilled to announce that our lab is relocating to the Friedrich Miescher Laboratory of the Max Planck Society Max Planck Society and @MPI_Bio in winter 2025. We’ll have open positions— please help us spread the word and stay tuned for more updates! 🐸 🐁 🥳

Paper alert🐟! Thrilled to share that our latest study “BMP signaling promotes zebrafish heart regeneration via alleviation of replication stress” nature.com/articles/s4146… is now live in Nature Communications. We show how BMP alleviates this stress via a conserved mechanism in mammals🐭

Very excited and honoured that our recently published paper “BMP signaling promotes zebrafish heart regeneration via alleviation of replication stress” was featured in the news! Thank you SWR Aktuell BW ! Huge shoutout to the amazing team in our lab! #zebrafish #ScienceNews
