Glorious day in Westmorland Park dividing snowdrops we planted years ago, to increase the number of plants and encourage them to spread. Native daffodils we also planted increasing as well. Half a sack of litter collected and mulch top up at Warfield Chase orchard too πŸ’š

Our daffodils outside Whitegrove School are flowering! In November , together with pupils and staff, we planted a mixture of Ice Follies and Yellow Camelot bulbs for a longer display. The Ice Follies (paler) are flowering now and the Yellow Camelots will follow. Enjoy! πŸ’š

As the daffodils fade good to see more wildflowers appearing on our verge at the entrance to Jigs Lane South. Clockwise from top-left; daisy, bluebell, meadow buttercup, red clover, dandelion (great for bees and butterflies) and red dead-nettle. What will you see? πŸŒΌπŸ’š

And now the Yellow Camelot daffodils are flowering outside Whitegrove School - looking gorgeous! We hope to find another site in #Warfield to plant bulbs later in the year πŸ€žπŸ’š

Litter pick with 2nd Bracknell Beavers around Whitegrove yesterday evening. Fun was had by all despite there being very little litter (it's not often we get to say that!). Round 2 in Bullbrook tomorrow πŸš―πŸ’š #LitterHeroes

Round 2 in Bullbrook last night with more 2nd Bracknell Beavers. Lots of litter picked up - 3 full sacks to be precise - but sadly no photos. Huge thank you to everyone who took part over the 2 days πŸ«‚πŸš―πŸ’š

Amazing wildflower and insect survey at 3 of our verges on Saturday. Still collating results, identifying insects spotted (so many species of hoverfly in the UK!) plus 4th verge to complete, but benefits to biodiversity vs mown grass clear to see πŸŒΊπŸπŸ’š #WildflowerVerge

Spotted this wee fella on our Harvest Hill/Ride verge yesterday. A thick-legged flower beetle, also known as the swollen-thighed beetle 😁 Who knew? Always good to see something new πŸͺ³πŸ’š
