I’ve driven work EVs but now officially a first EV owner. 2022 lightning lariat in smoked quartz. Charging for the first time. Free ChargePoint session ftw. More stuff to come…

My first DCFC experience in the lightning today was pretty interesting. After a v3.5 supercharger fail, went 5 miles down the road to another Sheetz and chatted with other fellow lightning owners while topping off for the last leg of the trip.

Charging the lightning at work on our Tesla level 2 charger. We have solar so it’s little to no cost to do it. The old j1772 adapter died so we’re trying this new one, seems to work just fine.

Has anyone done a wheel alignment on their lightning and it required an ADAS calibration? Mine has 34k miles on original tires and starting to wear the edges on the front tires. I will probably need tires by winter. My work has an alignment machine but it’s older.

For anyone traveling on I-81 in Virginia, looks like our soon to be finished Wawa in Staunton is getting some Tesla love. Much needed tbh, especially for those with non Tesla EVs.

Charged at this v3 earlier and had a good peak but quickly fell and stayed at 92kw for the remainder of the session. It was over 90F outside and battery temp gauge went close to 3/4 after I left. Would a v4 do better in this case?
