“Malicious compliance” is the term Trump supporters have started to use for the unintended or unpopular consequences of the administration’s aggressively chaotic and ill-intentioned management of the federal government.

Trump is holding all the nation’s hospitals and vital services hostage to seize power from Congress and hand it over to billionaires. We must state the truth: this is a constitutional crisis. It’s a massive, illegal power grab that the House and Senate have a sworn duty to stop.

❗️Great news! The judge presiding over our case - National Council of Nonprofits et al vs. Office of Management and Budget - GRANTED another Temporary Restraining Order against the admin’s ability to broadly halt federal grants and loans!! The DOJ’s motion to dismiss was DENIED.

Its gonna get a lot harder to fund disability research. It was ALREADY hard. I hope donors come out of the woodwork. It is so exhausting to be hyperaware of pervasive equity gaps. Over and over disabled academics and allies are denied the resources they need to close those gaps

NEW: The NIH has begun terminating grants for active projects on gender identity, DEI, environmental justice, climate change, among other topics. At least 16 termination letters have already been sent — and hundreds more are coming, NIH staff tell me. nature.com/articles/d4158…
