🎉 My Clerk talk from reClojure out. Fairly happy with how this turned out. A 🧵 with a few teasers of what's inside and how the 🌭 was made better. youtube.com/watch?v=3ANS2N…

What if it were trivial to add a notebook showing the git timeline of your current project? With Clerk, it is. The third screenshot is the entire render function for this display...

🤹🏼 We just released Clerk 0.6.387. It’s now possible to build small apps like the one you see 👇 using the WordNet 📓dictionary:

Clerk is about to become a good bit more moldable. Here, we're defining custom viewers that change how an horizontal ruler in markdown will be displayed and read + evaluate the code within backticks to get a slider. Living the #MoldableDevelopment dream, finally.

"Running code is an interaction that occurs during the process of writing a program." ... if you're doing it properly. 😹 Nice essay/prototype here from Tomas Petricek (find me on BlueSky) that has a good deal in common with some things we're planning for Nextjournal. tomasp.net/histogram/

New blog post on the intuition behind the dreaded second order condition in economics just dropped. Written in The Julia Language, published on Nextjournal, for the benefit of #EconTwitter. nextjournal.com/jbsecon/maximi…

Documents as User Interfaces. More Cedar/Tioga/Gargoyle goodness. Here, documents are extended to serve as user interfaces. These ideas also inspire Nextjournal’s Clerk project, though we haven’t quite caught up to 1991 yet. youtube.com/watch?v=s6DuMN…

I've converted my long thread of curated classic HCI demo videos into a mini-site with authentic period styling. :) jackrusher.com/classic-ux/

Playing around with editing code cells in a hosted Nextjournal notebook from my local emacs, everything synced live. I think this could be useful with a bit of work...
