Yesterday, one of our union leaders, Jonathan A. Caravello, Ph.D., was arrested during an ICE raid in Camarillo, CA, while he was lawfully observing immigration enforcement activities. We are calling for the immediate release of Dr. Caravello from federal custody with no charges.

Last week workers leafleted guests at the Houston-Hilton Americas to let them know our union contract expired on June 30. Hotel workers are calling for at least $23/hr so the people who welcome guests to the city don't have to choose between paying rent & feeding their families.
