BREAKING NEWS: "Strike is averted, we have a tentative agreement," said University Council - AFT President Mia McIver in a text I received at 4.19am today. She called the deal the "best contract in UC-AFT history." It includes rehiring rights and 30% wage increases over the life of contract.
