We would like to showcase Alejandro Barragan, a Ph.D student in Prof. Lorenzo's Lab. He is currently testing alternative plasmonic materials to drive chemical reactions by using sunlight instead of heat. This would decrease the generation of greenhouse gas emissions.

Professor Aguilar and CICESE (Ensenada, Mexico) Professor Santiago Camacho have been studying the oxidation effect of a laser beam in metal thin films. In these images the different coloration corresponds to different oxidation species.
