I have family in North Dakota from what my mom told me so now I'm taking this tornado and derecho threat seriously. It's gonna be a long night but I hope no one gets hurt or dies tonight.

Current update right now. The derecho left Bismarck and it's now Fargo bound. And tornado warning 1 has a confirmed tornado on the ground and the second is expiring but could be reinstated shortly. This is pure chaos... #ndwx

This derecho is no joke. 90-100 mph winds in this thing and everyone should seek shelter right now. This is dangerous and a very destructive storm coming in everyone's path. And also a random observed tornado warning. Seek shelter also. #ndwx

On this day in 2023, a supercell produced an EF-3 tornado that hit Matador, Texas around 8 PM that evening causing significant damage to the western side of town. In 18 minutes the tornado traveled 9.4 miles and had a max width of 600 yards. (⅓)
