RUNOFF TIME IN LEANDER! Anna Yelaun 4 Leander did not win outright but kept the Democrats from getting over 50%. The runoff election will be in December. Stay tuned.

Lago was one of the more interesting spots on tonight’s elections rundown. TCRP-endorsed Jerrell Roque (I) falls to a challenger for LVISD. For Council, TCRP-endorsed Jess Hall almost wins 80% while super-experienced Rob Durbin is defeated. Mixed bag for sure.

🔥 With nearly all votes counted, and in multiple counties, here’s how badly Proposition Q in Austin went down in flames! It wasn’t even close.

As expected, voters statewide and in Travis County approved all 17 proposed constitutional amendments. We were against 1, 4, and 14 anyway because they unnecessarily expand government.

Another runoff in Pflugerville? While write-in Sam Aly defied all expectations it was not enough to force a runoff. However, Pat McCord’s balloted challenge for mayor apparently did.

Some other interesting tid-bits here and there, such as mixed results on local bonds. But now it’s time to call it a night. Thanks to all who voted!
