The main driver of 95% of investment since 2016 has been fomo. Nothing more than concern of missing out. Little due diligence. Little thought. Just groupthink

We have spent years making the internet for people and to keep out bots. The idea the agentic web is around the corner is utterly nuts Ps people use the internet more than they need to because they like it. They like shopping. They like reading. They like browsing

For the 99th time. Conversations aren’t very good ways to do most things. Search/ sort / filter/ maps/and images is by far the best UX for most things

It always annoys me that people are so happy talking about AI as if it's a defined noun. Like you open a box of AI, like one day AI arrives in the office, as if it's something that has any clarity. It's as vague as saying "smarter computing."

Flew over the Grand Canyon a few days ago. Everyone had their window blinds down. I felt a lot of pressure to close it It’s absolutely bananas to me people would rather stare at a screen than reality.

I still have zero idea why Meta needs to invest in AI infrastructure But nobody is asking this question. It’s not Google. It’s not AWS. It’s not Microsoft. It makes money from dumb bored eyeballs hooked on content

I pride myself on tolerance but I don’t think I could be friends with anyone who wears a computer on their face. Nothing against the fashion. It’s the meaning

Very very little hardware excites me these days. A lot of modern software excites me a lot but the issue is how to integrate it into legacy systems and physical infrastructure

The “culture war” doesn’t exist if you don't go online. It’s not a war. It’s algorithms stocking clicks by any means possible

Everything about passports and passport stamps and visas is unbelievably dumb and archaic Here we are making ink marks and having people scroll through paper booklets when all is really in the cloud

When did it become a thing to place < 30 seats around every airport gate ( designed for 300 -400 seater planes ) And then everyone moans about Gate lice or messy lines

Airline Business class these days outside US carriers is essentially only 60+ year olds. Not complaining. I’m just saying they have all the money.

AI is the biggest threat to security and privacy one could ever imagine. "yeah, Of course you can record my entire screen and every key strike for a dictation app"

Why isn’t anyone building an AI startup that “just” does personal tax returns in the USA. Then expand to another than does business expenses / reporting
