Just saw the Druid Theatre O’Casey Trilogy at Abbey Theatre. What a magnificent production. Amy Rowan assembled an outstanding cast & GarryHynes created a powerful work of art. The tragicomedy made me reflect on the messy business of forging a national identity. Thank you

What a privilege to hear the Schumann Quartet at the Wigmore Hall Festival in the new RIAM Whyte Recital Hall tonight. World class musicians in a world class chamber music venue in the heart of Dublin. Our guests also had the great pleasure of meeting the musicians afterwards.

Everyone in our family is quite proud of this. An Cailín Ciúin An Cailín Ciúin / The Quiet Girl starring my daughter #catherineclinch has been voted the Best Irish Film of All Time by an industry jury. How do you follow that debut? She will give it a try and more on that later today.

So, Catherine stars with Niamh Algar in this new animation which premieres next Sunday at Foyle Film Festival - one of Ireland’s very few BAFTA and Oscar accredited festivals. It is produced by Brian J Falconer who produced Derry Girls and directed by BAFTA nominated Kris Kelly.

What a weekend of theatre. #AudreyOrSorrow in the Abbey Theatre on Friday and then #WAKETheShow from @thisispopbaby on Saturday night. Two fabulous productions showcasing the world-class quality of Irish culture. I’d love to see WAKE make it to NYC or Las Vegas.

I had a magical time Fastnet Film Festival. Lenny, Daisy & Paul discussed working with Element Pictures. It was an honour to sponsor the Best Irish Language film award to Alana Daly Mulligan. The bonus was to see Kris Kelly - Director / Visual Artist win Best Film for Wind & The Shadow starring #catherineclinch.
