I was so proud of my 3-bit ALU, and then found out it only took like 1/20 of the chip real estate.. (this is Tiny Tapeout. Also I had no idea you could do this much with github actions, checking the design & generating the GDS etc)

Had some fun testing Ricardo Nunes's 12bit SAR ADC on #TinyTapeout 7 this afternoon. A SAR ADC is a nice mixed signal example, the digital section coordinating the binary search of an internal DAC, homing in on the input signal. Glad I could test it myself and see it working!

Then: off to hackaday europe--another Tiny Tapeout workshop and we finally had the entire core team in one place at the same time. Was great seeing everybody! Now: a bit of recuperation and reconnecting with new friends. I so love this conference, thanks hackaday!
