An excellent opportunity

Excellent work - we are actually VERY uncertain about global trends in biodiversity. I wonder how we balance strict measure of certainty (95% CI) with the need to act based on the best available data. Maybe probability that a population is incr/decr rather than simple yes/no?

V. significant results - analysis of >600 trials using rigorous counterfactual methods concludes that globally our actions to conserve biodiversity have largely worked (compared to what would have happened had we done nothing). This spells HOPE and encourages more action :)

Yay - our paper on mapping human-carnivore conflict has been taken up among other researchers. We used Zimbabwean data from cattle GPS collars and locations at which cattle were killed by carnivores (lions, hyenas, etc.) to map risk.
