Is Uganda Dictator Museveni's eccentric son General Muhoozi an Idi Amin-wannabe, proudly announcing that he held opposition leader Bobi Wine's chief bodyguard in his basement? The poor man was clearly tortured. Wont he be a fantastic leader after Dad? aljazeera.com/news/2025/5/2/…

Interesting how the UAE is involved (in a bad way) in multiple conflicts in Africa while Quatar has offered its good offices as an intermediary to end a number of horrible conflicts. May God bless the peacemakers. barrons.com/news/uae-suppl…

HH’s govt officials tried everything to get him fired during the last admin. So glad they failed. Good work, Amb Gonzalez of U.S. Embassy Zambia. Read more here: npr.org/sections/goats… Sad to see what is said in this interview below and what has not changed.

God willing Im going to my native Hungary for several weeks to see family. Im beyond fortunate to be able to do that and my prayer is that all those separated from their loved ones by war or other tragedies living in adopted countries will one day be able to visit "home."

Excellent articulation of Prez Trump’s Africa policy from Senior U.S. Africa official Amb Troy Fitrell. Thank goodness the megaphone is gone and we are focusing on what is best for both sides. This is true partnership. theafricareport.com/383729/commerc…

The Cameroon regime can pretend all is well in celebrating its “national” day but a closer look shows the truth - the lack of justice for Ambazonians (Southern Cameroonians) is splitting the nation more each day. Symbolic ceremonies of unity are empty. absafricatv.com/how-may-20-was…

Really dumb diplomatic move on Kenya’s part to block opening of Somaliland’s liaison office in Nairobi. Why does Kenya have to bow to Mogadishu when Somaliland is the more successful nation? We’ll see how things develop this year! garoweonline.com/en/news/somali…

Chairman Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Risch pushes back on claims that the US is abandoning the Danab or the fight against al-Shabaab in Somalia. The US was already phasing out direct support—rampant theft within Danab & lack of accountability from the Mogadishu govt accelerated the process.

While delighted to see Bill Gates pledge his $200 billion to Africa’s development huge caution is in order to prevent it going to waste, fraud, and corruption. I’d love to see some used to develop comprehensive US-Africa university partnerships. bbc.com/news/articles/…

Great to see Eritrea’s huge diaspora finally flexing its muscles against the brutal Isaias dictatorship. Imagine the debilitating effect if they all stopped paying the penalty tax the regime imposes on Eritreans living abroad. theafricareport.com/385086/eritrea…

Good that Temporary Protected Status extended for Cameroonians in US from Jun 7 to August 4. This gives community more time to exert its influence with US Govt if they want further extension-but that will require absolute unity among Ambazonian factions. uscis.gov/newsroom/alert…

Congrats - I suppose - to Congo Republic and Liberia for winning non-permanent seats on the UN Security Council. Although that body has become totally ineffective in dealing with world's crises - it truly has become a talking shop that issues meaningless declarations!
