Trans people are a reality. They’ve always existed. This is an observable fact. No matter how persistently J.K. Rowling denies this truth or campaigns to strip away trans rights, she cannot erase trans people or their history.

I try to avoid Rowling discourse, but in the present circumstances, I want to offer my full solidarity to Rachel Saunders. Rachel is a wonderful colleague & researcher who showed me incredible kindness when I first began my transition. Rowling's obsessive abuse of her is disgusting.
