When I moved to Houston, Jamey Rootes was one of the 1st people I met. His presence filled a room. When he spoke, you leaned forward. He was a force and made Houston better. I wanted to be like him. Gone too soon. Proud to call him a friend. Prayers for his family.

So sad to hear of the unexpected passing of my friend Ken Hoffman. He was a lovable curmudgeon. I loved bantering with him. He was an amazing story teller that had a unique perspective and a terrific sense of humor. I was proud to call him a friend.
