Met the United States Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine at the Istana, as part of his introductory visit to Singapore. Our defence relationship is strong, with many areas of cooperation.

The “Arctic Angels” in 11th Airborne are known for their expertise in arctic warfare. First activated during WWII, they remain U.S. Army’s only arctic division, training year-round in advanced aerial maneuvering, cold-weather combat, and extreme weather survival.

Soldiers of the 11th Airborne Division had the honor of demonstrating our wide-ranging capabilities to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during his first visit to Alaska. We are the Army’s only Arctic division, but our strength lies in our adaptability.
