On 20 Dec 1985 I was mascot for Salop against Blackburn Before the game Chic Bates came up to me with a stern look on his face. "Look, I need Perksy (our keeper) for the game. You go easy on him, ok? Promise me?" That was nearly 40 years ago, I still remember it. What a legend.
