Today saw Billy lift his last British Sugar beet with our J Riley Beet Harvesters (UK) Ltd harvester, after a long career for us he retires in April having worked on this farm for the last 50 years, working for 3 generations. He will be truly missed especially next years beet season. Thank you. πŸ‘

So we start all over again, drilling KWS UK Ltd Campus at 60 seeds with a companion of buckwheat, linseed, phacilia and sun flowers. 140kgs/ha of Agrii agriistart. Drilling again with the CARRE SAS strip till as this year's crop averaged 4t/ha very pleased. 🀞for this year.

Please with the outcome again another successful establishment 🀞 for a good spring on this crop and price to stay good for us all. A sunny week this week will see the sunflowers 🌻 come out I hope and the field will look a picture.

In March, we established (using a strip till!) rows of grasses, clovers, and other legumes. Last week we stripped in between the herbage rows to plant wheat. This is our final step to eliminate the need for synthetic fertilisers. More later this week. #regenerativeagriculture

Great seedbeds after moving soil (pressing) to dry allowing important drilling slots to be maintained in a catchy Spring for vining peas. ⁦DavidFuller⁩ ⁦Thomas Hoggan⁩ ⁦Case IH UK & IRE⁩ ⁦HORSCH UK⁩
