We’d like to recognize our three (one for each of the levels of theatre offered First Ave Spartans) Students of the Month for August 2024. These students stood out, amidst a sea of wonderfully engaged students at FA, for having a “company” attitude, and creating amazing work in class.

Last year, I started a new job that required me to spend a bit more time in the car. Not being a podcast guy before, I started listening to “SmartLess”. Fifteen months later, I have listened to 225 sequential episodes. Thanks gents for making my ride better. Now onto other pods…

Do you hear the people sing? Singing the song of angry men? It is the music of the people Who will not be slaves again! When the beating of your heart Echoes the beating of the drums There is a life about to start When tomorrow comes!

What’s that they say: when one show closes another one opens? Tonight, my The Electric Company Theatre show MUCH ADO closes after a wonderfully fun run. Next week, my First Avenue Theatre Company show THE OLD MAN AND THE OLD MOON opens! Proud to work with such wonderful artists!

Proud of these students and of this work! I love my job at Arcadia Unified and the fact that I get to tell stories like this with young artists who are so willing to rise to the challenge is so inspiring! I’ll be sad to see this one go.

Nah, miss me with that Jon. All these execs should learn to play the game. Why don’t you talk to these owners who are saving all of their revenue and putting a terrible product on the field? That’s what’s bad for baseball. The Los Angeles Dodgers are providing me a great time!

This narrative is so, so tired, and lazy. Look how many teams with more injuries (and equally significant injuries) also made the playoffs. The Braves are in the middle of the pack and the Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series missing roughly 14 WAR to injury. You play with who you got.

I got an idea for him to make some more money: Release the performance rights to his titles. Let us give you money to produce your plays Mr. Mackintosh.

Hey Jon Heyman, I did a scientific poll of everyone in our house and no one thinks this is true. Everyone here is very much looking forward to watching “the game”.
