Want to learn more about frogs? Listen to these #podcasts created by Yr 1 Ss at Mount Sinai College. They used #GarageBand and LiveLoops to inform their audience about frogs. Toolie Fester #EveryoneCanCreate #AppleEDU

This term we did a whole unit on Keynote, so we had to teach the kids how to use the app. I made a “Keynote skills” pres with how-to videos and practice activities. Feel free to re-use! It really helped the kids learn the app. #earlyyears #AppleEDUChat goo.gl/fqJYkJ

We share WHY feedback is important for learners, but do we dedicate the time to model HOW to give valuable feedback? @grade5Csak 5T @ PWE Tracey McKernon building in intentional time to learn how to give feedback. Thanks Sonya terBorg for the visual! #pypchat #rvsed

Kids learn more from teachers who smile. Greet your students with a smile and call them by name. Kids learn more from teachers who connect. Know your students and know what makes them unique. Kids learn more from teachers who encourage. Lift them up and notice their strengths.

Today in social skills we learned about using our manners. So we used the collaborate tool in the ⁦Book Creator from Kami⁩ to create a class book about how each child shows good manners. So sweet!

So great to use Clips as a reflection tool for our English unit. For my Year 1 students I type out questions on posters, screenshot and then share them to my students via airdrop so they don’t need to spend so long copying out those big words! #classroomclips #EveryOneCanCreate

7 great metacognitive questions for students. The research shows that metacognitive strategies can be taught—and lead to better planning, preparation, and performance. A short piece I edited for edutopia.

This week in year 1 we used the clips app to make game show style videos about how to write a proper sentence. We had lots of fun! #earlyyears #EveryoneCanCreate

So impressed by our awesome infants teachers at a staff PD on AR Makr Our teachers were provided with graphics to create their own living things and non-living things museums. Fits in nicely with the science curriculum for our younger years.

Would your school’s students like to collaborate with ours? Have your students share your school using persuasive language :) (Year 2)
