We support the Restaurant, Events and Tourism Industries country wide in asking for answers. Why were we not consulted and then given less than 24 hour warning when changing business hours, occupancy and the ban on sale of alcohol? We now see daily closures in all sectors.

We have to stop this from happening in 2021! Our Industries cannot cope with being treated this way. Dept of Tourism and The Presidency 🇿🇦 we need an action plan where ALL parties are involved and sit at the same table to plan out our future recovery.

We support the Restaurant Association of South Africa as our Industry has been devastated by the short notice and limited consultation on regulations as well as beach closures and alcohol bans. Mr President The Presidency 🇿🇦 We cannot have a future in the Events and Tourism Industry when we are given less than 24 hours to prepare for regulation measures. Our lives are in pieces and there is hardly anyone left to pick them up. #JobsSaveLives

#JobsSaveLives The Presidency 🇿🇦 We cannot continue along this path, losing millions of jobs and putting the country further into desperation. It does not have to be lives vs jobs when protocols are followed and the South African Government assists with regulations rather than force policing.

Our Industry has to be consulted and given sufficient warning to prepare for any changes in regulations relating to the pandemic The Presidency 🇿🇦 and Dept of Tourism . The measures have crippled many, closed too many and caused the loss of tens of thousands of jobs. #jobssavelives
