‘When empathy & openness are missing from our healthcare system, we lose the fundamental core of why healthcare exists in the first place. We let the transactional displace the relational & compassion & care are replaced with data & assumption." amzn.eu/d/8WxRJXu Dr Rageshri Dhairyawan

Sometimes we all need reminding of this but spend your days where you can add value because you are valued. Be with people who want to uplift you not knock you down. Hold hands with those who celebrate your strengths and support you to grow. And do likewise to others.

New report from Care Quality Commission on support for people with dementia. Much needed recommendations to address dementia care. We just lost Mum to bad dementia care following bad stroke care incl. lack of timely diagnosis and health care. We now need action. cqc.org.uk/publications/h…

We have serious concerns about the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill for England and Wales and therefore cannot support it in its current form. Our patients are among the most vulnerable in society and need to be sufficiently protected. Briefing👇rcpsych.ac.uk/news-and-featu…
