But recently, I’ve decided to slow down. I’ve decided to walk slower, get back to people on my thoughts, pause in between bites, toast the seasoning lightly, and cook at low heat. Why? Because I’ve given so much to becoming, that I noticed that I had forgotten to be.

The version of me that exists right now is so different from who I was a year ago, and I feel like I want to get to know her. I want to design her life — where she lives, what she eats, what she reads. I want to court her and find out what makes her tick.
